LOVE AND LIGHT
God is Love and God is Light.
It is the Lord’s command that we should always show love to one another.
Where there’s Love there is Light for darkness has nothing in common with the Light.
1 John 2:9-11” Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness”.
“Whoever loves his brother abides in the light and in him; there is no cause for stumbling.
But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness”.
It is quite unfortunate that in the world today some people do not love themselves and talk more about loving others as there are many pressures in life especially among the youth.
The pressure to belong or to acquire quick or easy wealth has pushed many into living a lifestyle that is too dangerous and unhealthy.
1 John 2:15” Do not love the world or the things in the world, if anyone loves the world; the love of the Father is not in him”.
One definitely cannot show love to another by loving the world because loving the world simply means striving to acquire wealth by all means and so can kill, covet, steal and do all manner of evil just to acquire wealth and by so doing living and walking in total darkness and hatred.
God first loved us by sending his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins we should also love him by obeying his commandments and one of the commandments is that we love our neighbours as ourselves. If one does not love his neighbour, how can he love God whom he has not seen?
I encourage you today to love God by obeying his commands, love yourself and extend the love to people around you as well so that you will walk in the light. Turn away from all manner of evil and let your light shine to beautify people’s lives.
Allow LOVE and LIGHT to dwell richly in you.
