Killing Conscience
Killing Conscience
When man ate of the Fruit in the Garden, his eyes were opened to the knowledge of good and bad. This brought man’s attention to his nakedness and widened his knowledge. If man had known, he would’ve stayed clear of the fruit from that tree. Maybe this burden that comes from knowledge would’ve not existed.
The knowledge of bad has a voice… a smooth, dark voice. It’s not as scary as one may envision. Its scare lies in the deception that it leads on. It is inviting, soothing, promising and dare I say, delightful. What man doesn’t hear in the voice of the knowledge of bad is its sinister deceitfulness and its heavily dark sarcasm. The voice speaks an allure of temptations and it doesn’t stop. Because its forceful. So forceful that one feels coarsed without options. It tells you that there is no other way asides the one that it presents.
The knowledge of good has a voice and a name called Conscience. Consciences tell what is good, right and should be followed, for the knowledge of good brings about the better growth of mankind. The voice of Conscience is small, still, calm, presenting peace and guidance along the path of truth. It offers warmth and calmness allowing one to toll the path of righteousness.
Unfortunately, Man is more drawn to the knowledge of bad. Man wants to always explore the knowledge of bad, swim in its ocean of deceit and bask in the wanderlust of its sarcasm.
The more man is drawn into the knowledge of bad, the further away it pulls from Conscience thereby, keeping it silent and further starving it of necessary nutrition to thrive and offer its direction…
Would you prefer to kill conscience and thrive only in the knowledge of bad?
Oh man!
Following the voice of the knowledge of bad will only lead to death while that of conscience will lead to life!
“I have set before you life and death, that you will choose life and live!”
